Wen-Chi Chen is the founder and current Chairman of VIA Technologies, a pioneer in Taiwan's electronics and computer components industry. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, along with dual master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology.

VIA Technologies, which Chen founded in 1987, once ranked as the world's largest independent motherboard chipset design company, commanding over 50% of the global market share. He was named "Asian Star Best Entrepreneur" by BusinessWeek (US) and was selected as one of the "50 Leaders on the Reform Front."

In 1998, Chen established the XinWangAi Cultural and Educational Foundation, dedicated to public welfare, education, and care for disadvantaged groups, striving to bring more warmth and compassion to Taiwanese society, bridge the urban-rural resource gap, and elevate the cultural and artistic literacy of the public.

In 2015, Chen expanded his business portfolio by acquiring TVBS. Leveraging his background in electronic technology, he introduced the latest imaging production technology for news broadcasting, drama production, and program recording, pioneering a new era in media.

Appointed as TVBS Chairman in 2019, Chen upholds the management philosophy of "Trust", "Truth", and "Technology," insisting on applying the most cutting-edge technology, providing the most accurate information, and building the most trusted brand. Beyond continual innovation in the media sector, he has also led TVBS through a comprehensive brand upgrade and transformation, integrating TVBS into everyday life as a full-spectrum media leader.
